Apple mentioned, “In the United States, Apple Geniuses and Advisors should capture MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) and MacBook Air (11-inch, Mid 2013) computers with any Wi-Fi issues.” It seems that Wi-Fi on the affected machines work fine at first, but the connection will time out in just a minute or two afterwards, where the only “cure” would be a restart. Apple will rightly offer some customers replacement models in exchange for these problematic units, so that they can investigate whether it is a hardware or software issue. I suppose there is always a risk associated with adopting new technology, as the 2013 MacBook Air relies on the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard which in theory, offers faster connectivity and bandwidth.
