The Sprint HTC One is set to receive an over-the-air software update that fixes a minor issue that has been bothering quite a number of users. The update will take care of back and home capacitive button sensitivity issue, though not such a major issue in any way, it does become irksome particularly when the HTC One is face down on any surface. The update is expected to be rolled out to customers in stages, from today.
The changelog of this Sprint HTC One update, version 1.29.651.10, simply states that the update brings “Improved Back and Home key sensitivity.” It also mentions “BlinkFeed improvements,” though it doesn’t go in to any sort of detail as to what these improvements actually are. An updated version of Sprint Zone is also included in this update. It was believed that the reason for this sensitivity issue on Sprint HTC One was that the touch targets for these capacitive buttons were set too close to the display. This OTA update will essentially be increasing the size of these touch targets, so that the capacitive buttons don’t register unnecessary taps.
