Underneath the hood of the Sony Xperia ZR, you would be able to find a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that has been teamed with an Adreno 320 GPU, running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the operating system of choice. Accompanying it would be 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a 4.55” TFT display at 1280 x 720 resolution with a pixel density of 323PPI (a different segment of the spec sheet on the website mentions otherwise, however), a 13-megapixel Exmor RS sensor for its camera, all tipping the scales at a mere 140 grams. The Sony Xperia ZR can be used underwater up to depths of 1.5 meters, and is powered by a 2,300mAh battery. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time though.
