Sony Worldwide Studios President Trolls On PS4 DRM Concerns

With Microsoft’s stance on DRMs and used games on the Xbox One being rather unpopular with many gamers at the moment, we have recently seen the gamer community rise up in a barrage of tweets asking Sony to “do the right thing” when it came to handling used games and DRMs on the PlayStation 4. While Sony has yet to make an official announcement, which will most likely take place during the company’s E3 conference, Sony Worldwide Studios’ president, Shuhei Yoshida, has taken to Twitter to troll the gamer community regarding Sony’s take on DRM.

According to a tweet by Yoshida, he was quoted as saying that, “”Death Ray Manta” coming to PlayStation Vita”, which is a play on the acronym DRM. This was followed up by a tweet from Sony business development manager, Shahid Kamal Ahmad, who said, “That’s right Shuhei, we are going to have “DRM” on PlayStation Vita. ;-)”  This does not actually answer the issue on DRMs on the PS4, but tweets by other Sony executives and this rather light-hearted jab at DRMs from the president himself has been speculated by some to be a good sign of things to come and could favor gamers. In any case make what you will of it, but we guess we will know more during E3, so check back with us then for the details.
