A few days ago we reported that according to the rumors, Samsung might be working on a Galaxy S4 variant that would feature a 16MP camera as its main selling feature. The device was called the Galaxy S4 Zoom, and if you’re wondering what other camera feats the handset is said to be able to pull off, the folks at Hi-Tech.ru claim that according to their information, one of the other features of the phone’s camera is its optical zoom of 10 times, which we have to say is pretty impressive! This is compared to the Nokia 808 PureView which currently only has an optical zoom of 3 times.
Supposedly the 10x optical zoom is the result of a downgrade because apparently adding more optical zoom would result in the device being too thick, at least too thick for Samsung’s liking. We’re sure many of you guys have tried zooming in with cameras before and the result is usually pretty blur and shaky, so we have to wonder if Samsung is going to do anything about this in order to make the feature a bit more desirable.
