We’ve heard reports Samsung is expected to unveil its latest mini version of its Galaxy S Android smartphones, the Galaxy S4 Mini, during an upcoming press event expected to take place in London on June 20. Up until this point, its specs have been a complete mystery with some people speculating it would have a 1.6GHz processor along with a smaller 4.3-inch screen and an 8MP camera. But according to recently leaked benchmark results, it looks like we may have an idea of what the Galaxy S4 Mini will be sporting under its nearly all-plastic hood.
According to German blog site All About Samsung, which obtained the benchmark results, the Galaxy S4 Mini looks to be powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and a 2.1MP front-facing camera in addition to its already speculated 4.3-inch screen and 8MP rear-facing camera.
Considering Samsung downgraded a number of the Galaxy S3’s specs for its Galaxy S3 Mini, we’re not completely surprised to hear the Galaxy S4 Mini’s specs to also receive a downgrade in the spec department. But on the other hand, the Galaxy S4 Mini will most likely be offered to people who either can’t afford a full-fledged Galaxy S4 or prefer a 4.3-inch screen.
