Chinese manufacturers are pretty good at churning out decent smartphones these days (among other things, this is what happens when you assign them to be the world’s factory, as they start to figure out how things are done and then improve on them, which is a good thing actually), and we even read about how a certain Umeox X5 intends to be the thinnest smartphone in the world when it is released later this year. Well, the Oppo Ulike 2 does not look as though it will be made available outside of China anytime soon, but perhaps its successor, the aptly named Oppo Ulike 2S might have a better shot at making the overseas jump.
It was announced in Shenzen yesterday, where the Oppo Ulike 2S would come with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera in addition to an 8-megapixel shooter at the back, where Oppo claims that both of them would now be equipped with improved performance and beautification effects. Of course, the piece de resistance would be the more generous 5.5” 720p display that would certainly be leaps and bounds ahead of the previous 4.5” 960 x 540 resolution display found on its predecessor. Other hardware specifications include a removable 3,000mAh battery and Dual micro SIM slots.
