The Lumia 925 comes with a 4.5″ AMOLED display which promises to be very good (more on that later when we get our hands on the device), and can be charged wirelessly via a cover which snaps on the back of the device.
The camera aspect of the new Lumia 925 is very important for Nokia, and there are a number of software features related to photo manipulation in thus new handset. For example, you can easily remove the photobombers (unwanted people) from the photos, or shoot “action shots” where a series of photos can be combined together to show a character in motion over a static background. This is also something that was introduced by Samsung in their Galaxy S4 smartphone. The good news is that the “Lumia Amber” software update will bring these features to the whole line of Lumia smartphones, Nokia says.
The Lumia 925 will be available exclusively with T-Mobile in the USA (AT&T has the 920 and Verizon has the 928) and will cost 469 Euros in Europe, before subsidies.
There you go, I’m adding more specifications below, but basically, this is mainly about a new design and an improved camera experience that will come to the whole Lumia line down the road. For those who found the Lumia 920 to be too heavy, the 925 is slimmer and lighter while keeping a unique Nokia signature style.
Nokia Lumia 925 Specs
1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
4.5″ AMOLED display (1280×768)
16GB of internal storage
8.7 Megapixel camera, with a 6th lens and image stabilization
1.2 Megapixel front camera
The specs are not really impressive, but the Lumia 925 is about a brand new design, and a great camera experience. This is really what it boils down to. What do you think?
