If you were looking to pick up an iPod touch from Apple but decided that you did not require a 32GB model, you’re in luck as it seems that Apple has quietly listed a new iPod touch in its online store. This new iPod touch will offer up 16GB of storage for a cheaper price of $229, although there are some drawbacks. For starters this model will lose some of the features found on the more expensive version of the iPod touch, such as its rear-facing camera and the loop which users can use to attach a lanyard to it. Apart from that, it will sport a 4” Retina Display, a dual-core A5 chipset, along with a front-facing FaceTime HD camera for video calls. We guess for those who plan to use it primarily as a media player rather than a camera, the loss of the rear-facing camera shouldn’t be that big of a deal. It is available via Apple’s website and will ship in 24 hours.
