Man of Steel is headed to movie theaters in the U.S. on June 14, and the comic-book community has been dying for a really good Superman film ever since Christopher Reeve donned the red cape in his films. Sure – there was Superman Returns, but we think we could all agree Superman deserves a better class of film, and it looks like Man of Steel might be that film, which is why someone took the trouble to painstakingly recreate Warner Bros trailer for the film called “Ideal of Hope” within Minecraft.
The Minecraft-ified movie trailer wasn’t created by your run-of-the-mill Minecraft user as media-creation studio Steelhouse Productions were in charge of putting together this video, which they call “Mine of Steel.” As you’ll see for yourself, this isn’t just any ordinary Minecraft recreation as some serious work was put into it to not only give the trailer a Minecraft look, but the amount of detail and tricks in its lighting make this a recreation both Man of Steel and Minecraft fans will enjoy.
