Microsoft Bing Translator Adds Klingon To Its Supported Languages
While the Klingon language might be considered fictional to some who follow the Star Trek series, due to the dedication of fans around the world, the language has come into its own with dictionaries and online translators being created to allow fans of the franchise to “understand” when Klingon is being spoken. Now it seems that Microsoft has decided to throw their weight behind the Klingon language as the translation team behind Bing has decided to add Klingon translation to the list of supported languages to its Bing Translator service.
This is actually part of a marketing strategy in which the service was added in support of the release of Star Trek Intro Darkness movie. The translator is said to have been developed with the aid of a certain Eric Andeen, a Klingon-fluent Microsoft engineer. The Klingon addition is said to be made available later today, so if you’re curious about what some words could mean in Klingon, head on over to the Bing Translator page for the translation!
