When it comes to Android-powered smartphones, LG has been doing pretty well lately, where their array of smartphones that reside on the higher end side of things such as the LG Optimus G, Nexus 4, and Optimus G Pro are pretty solid on their own. Of course, we all know that the flagship models of any company are not going to be the best sellers, and LG too knows just which side their bread is buttered on, and hence they have not forgotten that their L Series of smartphones might not occupy the high end side of things, but are pulling in the dough due to sales volume alone. The LG Optimus L9 was announced last year, and it seems that its successor, the aptly name LG Optimus L9 II is about to arrive soon.
Having been spotted in a benchmark before, here we are with a leaked image that shows off the upper part of the device thanks to the folks over at TechTastic. Apparently, the Optimus L9 II is set for an announcement this coming June. Benchmark figures show that the LG Optimus L9 II ought to come with a 4.7” 720p HD IPS touchscreen display, is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, and 1GB RAM, boasting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in tow.
