Do you use Google Calendar on Android a whole lot? If you have answered in the affirmative and are one of the more avid users of Google Calendar on Android, then chances are you would have already joined in on the chorus of users in the same position as you to customize event and calendar colors straight from your device. Well, the good people over at Google have definitely heard this clarion cry of yours, where today’s update enables you to do just that.
From now on, as long as your Google Calendar on Android is running the latest version, you are able to highlight those extremely urgent meetings and important birthdays or anniversaries by performing a simple color switch as and when required. Not only that, should you opt to add events, those are also easier to perform and more fun while you are at it thanks to the redesigned date and time pickers. In addition, there is also a redesigned timezone picker that makes life simpler to locate the region that you’re looking for regardless of where you are at the moment. The latest version of Google Calendar for Android will target devices which run on Android 4.0.3 and above (you will need Android 4.1 or higher for custom event colors though).
