Google Buzz Data Migrated To Google Drive

Google is certainly big on the cloud, and their ill fated Google Buzz might still have some life left in it, or at least, in a spiritual sense. We have heard that Google’s social service that hit a brick wall in October 2011, could very well offer a way for users of Google Buzz to access the data accumulated within its short, one year plus life span. Word has it that Google will now migrate all data, in addition to public and private posts on Google Buzz, over to your Google Drive account from July 17 onwards.

It is encouraging to hear too that Google is not that miserly with their hardware, since all data migrated over would not take up residence in your current storage quota on Drive. How does the data migration work? For starters, Google will kick it off by creating a couple of files, where the first of the two would be accessible and viewable only by the individual user of said account, where it happens to be a snapshot of the entirety of said user’s public and private posts on Google Buzz. As for the second file, it will be publicly available, and will also pop up in Google search results in addition to a person’s Google+ profile
