While all-in-one desktop computers look great and take up little space on the desk, they do sacrifice customizability that traditional desktops offer, but we guess if space is what you’re after, Dell has announced their new all-in-one desktop system, the Optiplex 3011. This AIO model by Dell will be powered by Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system and will feature Intel 3rd generation Core i5 quad-core processors. Other specifications include support for up to 8GB of RAM, a 20” WLED 1600×900 monitor with an optional projected capacitive touchscreen, a 1TB HDD with options for SSDs, a built-in webcam, an Ethernet LAN port and WiFi.
Dell also claims that the Optiplex 3011 will play nice with wireless keyboard, and IT managers will also apparently have an easy time managing the Optiplex 3011 through solutions such as Dell KACE and Dell Data Protection Encryption software. The Optiplex 3011 will also be able to connect to the Dell Cloud Desktop, and to top it all off, the system and packaging make use of recycled material. If you’re interested in picking up one for yourself, the Optiplex 3011 will be made available on Dell’s website in the coming weeks starting at $649.
