Earlier today, the US Patent & Trademark Office did publish a patent application from Apple which showed off the possibility of a future that will see a new flexible display invention make the grade. In fact, Apple did file a fair number of flexible display based patents in the past year, where one of them could be said to be so advanced that it felt more like a concept than anything else, while there was another which had something to do with a next generation Smart Cover. Well, the patent we’re talking about here would see a flexible display connected directly to an application, like Apple’s GarageBand for example. This would mean to play the piano in the future on your Apple device would be more lifelike, since adding in more pressure would result in louder audio, and vice versa.
This is made possible thanks to embodiments which are found in Apple’s most recent invention, where they generally relate to devices as well as methods for detecting force measurements such as exerted pressure that are found on a flexible display panel of an electronic device. Could we be looking at a flexible Apple-branded watch?
