Analyst: Wii Selling More Units Than The Wii U
While Nintendo is certainly banking their future on the Wii U console, especially with the announcement of other next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and presumably Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox, the console has not exactly been a commercial success and has been met with mixed reviews. However with it being newer with brand new features and all, would it be a better console than the Nintendo Wii, its predecessor? While we have yet to see the official numbers ourselves, analyst Michael Pachter has shared his report in which according to his numbers, it seems that the Nintendo Wii is actually outselling the Wii U! Pachter indicated that this month alone, the Wii U is expected to sell 20,000 units less than the Wii which we guess is pretty grim. Of course it is possible that gamers are still waiting for bigger/more titles to arrive on the Wii U, or maybe waiting to see what Microsoft could bring to the table before committing themselves to a particular system, but as it stands, things certainly do not look good for Nintendo.
