Over the past couple of weeks we have chronicled quite a few white Nexus 4 rumors. The elusive smartphone was spotted quite a few times at I/O 2013, where it was expected to be announced. Google did not announce it at the conference, though rumor has it that they’ll be making an official announcement on June 10th. Apparently the 16GB white Nexus 4 has already gone on sale in India while we still wait for Google to make an announcement.
The report says that “local retailers” are selling the 16GB white Nexus 4 for around $465, though none of the retailers have been named. It is also not known right now whether these units are running the yet to be announced Android 4.3 firmware. It seems a bit odd for such a highly anticipated device to be released on an entirely different continent before it has even been unveiled in the States. Who knows, perhaps the retailers there have jumped the gun, not wanting to wait till after Google had officially announced the device. Lets just hope Google makes the announcement here soon so we can get our white Nexus 4 fix on. [Image via TuttoAndroid]
