Wii Controllers Could Get Rechargeable Battery Packs

I am not quite sure about you, but with the Nintendo Wii already outdated considering how the Wii U was released not too long ago, it does boggle the mind that Nintendo might actually consider rolling out branded rechargeable battery packs for their Wii controllers. This was speculated after Nintendo held an online survey that asked users whether they would be interested in such a peripheral from official sources, of course.

The survey saw Nintendo ask users for their thoughts when it came to owning rechargeable battery packs which has been speculated to offer up to 13 hours of additional use from a single 90-minute charge, with a recommended retail price of $40. Frankly, that is a whole lot of money to pay for something that can be avoided through having enough rechargeable AA batteries around in the first place. On the other hand, why can’t Nintendo just equip future models of their Wii remote with rechargeable lithium ion batteries from the get go?
