A mobile carrier would certainly do itself no harm if it has a wide range of smartphones for consumers to choose from. After all, choice is everything, and there is something comforting to know that your hard earned money is capable of letting you enjoy different devices, depending on your wants at that particular moment. Well, Verizon Wireless has its fair share of flagship devices from different smartphone manufacturers, but this does not mean that they do not cater to those who are working on a tighter budget. No sir, Verizon has just announced that they will have a couple of feature phones from LG, namely the LG Cosmos 3 and LG Revere 2.
Both the LG Cosmos 3 and LG Revere 2 will continue from where their predecessors left off, as you can tell by the naming convention alone. They will remain stuck with Verizon’s older 1XRTT 3G technology and shared features between the two include a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture capability, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity, and basic web and messaging applications. The LG Cosmos 3 will sport a 2-inch 240 x 320 display, a full QWERTY keyboard, social networking apps, and a microSD memory card slot, while the LG Revere 2 is a blast from the past, carrying a flip phone form factor.
