If you happen to own one of the Samsung Galaxy Camera devices that run on the Android operating system, then you might be pleased to hear that this particular shooter has begun to receive a software update from early on this morning, especially if it happens to run on Verizon’s network. This particular new update was first spotted by the folks over at Droid Life, where it weighs in at a rather massive 180MB, so you might want to fall back on a Wi-Fi network to get the job done instead of using a 3G connection. We have no idea yet as to what this particular software update contains though.
From what we do know, however, the Samsung Galaxy Camera will continue to run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean even after the upgrade, so you can be sure that this particular software update has nothing to do with the operating system. Neither Verizon nor Samsung has rolled out additional information on the software, either, so we await with bated breath on an official press release.
