At the moment, the whole world’s eyes would most probably be concentrating on the impending release of Google Glass to developers where wearable technology is concerned, but this does not mean that there are no competitors for the Internet search giant to worry about. In fact, the market does seem to be a booming one, and here we are with a different take on Google Glass that is the brainchild of the collective effort of Japanese companies, where the final result is known as the Telepathy One. The Telepathy One was basically designed to ensure that there is an always-on computer located right in front of your eyes, where the approach is different, although retaining a similar form factor.
The Telepathy One does seem to be the Google Glass sent to the fat house, where it lacks the small display or side-mounted interface controls, but will rely on a micro-projection unit instead which is controlled sans wires using your connected smartphone or tablet device. It will also rely on in-ear speakers for its audio needs, and there is no word on pricing or availability as at press time, despite the fact that it will be cheaper than Google Glass. The margin of affordability remains to be known though…
