Logitech has just announced a couple of new cases for the iPad and iPad mini. The Logitech FabricSkin is the high-end model which is covered with colorful fabric (Electric Blue and Sunflower Yellow to Mars Red Orange) that gives it a warmer and softer appearance when compared to most plastic iPad cases. The Logitech FabricSkin Folio case also has an integrated keyboard that is thin and elegantly designed.
This is the sexiest keyboard/case design for iPad that I have seen. Frankly, this is something that Apple should have come up with a long time ago. I haven’t tested it yet, but if you want to boost your productivity this is pretty much it. The keyboard connects to the iPad via Bluetooth.
The other product is called Logitech Folio, and it is a relatively thin case, but without the keyboard. Both products share the same design language, but the FabricSkin skin is obviously superior and that’s why it will cost about $149.99, while the simpler Folio goes for $59.99 to $69.99, depending on the size (iPad vs. iPad mini). The iPad case market is extremely competitive, but Logitech has done a good job at differentiating itself on the high-end. I hope that the keyboard is as comfortable as it is nice-looking. What do you think?
