Remember we reported that according to rumors, the Sony NEX-7n, successor the NEX-7, would be delayed. Rumored for an announcement in April, it’s hard to be bummed out by news of a delay over a product that may or may not exist. In any case for those wondering what could be the issue, the folks at Sony Alpha Rumors claim that according to their source, the reason for the delay was due to none other than Sony’s CEO, Kazuo Hirai, himself who pushed for a change in the E and A mount roadmap. Of course since Sony has never actually confirmed this, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt for now, although we guess it’s not a complete stretch of the imagination. In the meantime for those looking forward to the NEX-7n, their sources have also gone on to reassure them that the camera will be announced within a couple of months. That seems like a pretty long wait from April, but we guess that’s all we have to work with at the moment.
