Accessory manufacturer, Sonnet Technologies, has come up with a seemingly potent Thunderbolt dock which will allow users to hook it up with just about any kind of connection that one could ever wish for. Just what kind of magical device is this? It is known as the Sonnet Echo 15-Port Thunderbolt Dock, where it will play nice with both Mac and Windows machines, which delivers a grand total of 15 ports, with the additional luxurious options to throw in an optical DVD or Blu-ray DVD drive, in addition to a 2TB hard drive (of course, you can always opt for a smaller capacity, albeit far faster SSD).
The Sonnet Echo 15-Port Thunderbolt Dock is tipped to hit the markets later this summer, but for those of you living in North America, you might want to take the step to place a pre-order for them now. As for its drive bay, it can even be used for Time Machine backups, now how about that? Connectivity options include a quartet of USB 3.0 ports, a pair of eSATA and an equal number of internal SATA ports, a pass-through Thunderbolt port, an audio in port, headphone, a microphone port, a Firewire 800 connector and Gigabit Ethernet, accompanied by four USB ports.
