GoNote Mini Introduced

It was not too long ago that UK-based electronics firm Ergo Electronics brought the GoNote to the masses, which is basically a new take on dying technology, with the GoNote being a 10” Android-powered netbook. All right, dying because netbooks have long ago gone the way of the dinosaur in the new world order of mobile devices, but perhaps running on Android could have proven to be its saving grace. While the GoNote is no more, the brand still has a breath of life in it – that is, the GoNote Mini, which is a smaller 7” model.

Just what kind of goodies do you expect the GoNote Mini to be able to serve up? It will still run on the Android operating system, so no surprises there, but there will be an ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor that ensures most of your work on the go gets processed nicely and quickly without batting an eyelid. The version of Android here would be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, making this a somewhat pseudo-smartphone-netbook device. You get just 800 x 480 resolution though, with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be further augmented via a microSD memory card slot, while Wi-Fi connectivity helps you stay connected to the Internet.
