Some of us play games casually, while some are a bit more hardcore and take their gaming very seriously. Then you have gamers who actually make a living by playing games professionally and competitively. Now if you’re a fan of first-person shooter games like DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 4, you might be interested to learn that the developer is considering making Battlefield 4 a eSports game. Speaking to Leutin09 in an interview on YouTube, DICE’s general manager, Karl-Magnus Troedsson was quoted as saying:
“Yes, we’re very interested in this area […] and we’re definitely going to see what we can do there […] I can’t talk about the specifics because we’re not announcing them, but I can say that e-sports is an area that we are very interested in.”
While we’re not sure what the outcome of this idea will be, but for competitive gamers out there, or for gamers who think they’re pretty good at Battlefield 3 and think they’ll be just as awesome in Battlefield 4, what are your thoughts about the possibility of Battlefield 4 going to eSports?
