Earlier last week, AT&T made an announcement it would be accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 starting on April 16 for $249.99 with a two-year contract. What we found odd about the announcement was the fact they didn’t specify which version of the Galaxy S4 would be priced at $249.99, the 16GB or 32GB version? We’re not sure why AT&T decided to withhold which version would be priced at $250, but today, the company verified which version would be getting that hefty price tag.

AT&T will be making the 32GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 available for $250 with two-year contract, which means the 16GB variant, which is the one we’re sure many of you will be picking up, will actually be slightly cheaper at $200 when you sign a two-year contract. If we had to guess, we’d have to say maybe AT&T was waiting for the public’s reaction to a $250 Galaxy S4 to see if whether they should stick the price to the 16GB or 32GB variants, but this is purely speculation on our part. Either way, we found it to be weird how the carrier handled its announcement of the Galaxy S4’s pricing, but we’re happy they finally cleared things up today.
