Earlier this year, Redbox announced it would be launching its Redbox Instant out of beta by March of this year. It looks as though the company is sticking to their word as Redbox is announcing it officially is launching its Redbox Instant service out to beta to allow online video streaming to the public.
Before you Redbox users go off and sign up for their Redbox Instant service, you should know what exactly you’re getting with the service. For $8 a month, Redbox Instant subscribers will be treated to unlimited streaming of available videos online and four DVD credits for free every month. New subscribers will be able to check out the service during a one-month free trial, which will turn into a paid subscription if you choose to continue.
Redbox Instant already has its application available on a number of devices such as Android, iOS, Xbox 360 and a number of Smart TVs and Blu-ray players. If you decide to sign up for the service, make sure whatever you expect to watch Redbox Instant’s online streaming video is compatible with your devices at home.
