It was only a few versions of iOS ago that Apple introduced the app switcher. While it was a welcome addition, there are definitely some changes that could be made to make it more useful and efficient, and this iOS 7 app switcher concept by Jesse Head might be worth taking a look at. It seems that according to the YouTube comments, some of these features can already be had if you were to jailbreak your device, but then again we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple borrowed some ideas from the jailbreak community.
So basically what this concept involves is that instead merely display icons at the bottom, the apps can be viewed in tiles with a live preview, so that users will be able to swap between apps and see where they left off, or if there are changes. Swiping up will close the app, making it a quicker solution compared to the press and hold technique, and there will be toggles and controls, such as to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, music controls and etc. It’s pretty cool and if you’ve got a couple of minutes, check it out in the video above.
