The S8400W will also come with a Fujinon super zoom lens (24mm wide-angle) with aperture ranging from f/2.9 to f/6.5. Fujifilm is also boasting about the speed of the S8400W, claiming that it will be able to start up in 1 second, have a shooting interval of 0.5 seconds, and a continuous shooting rate of 10fps. Other features of the camera includes Full HD movie capture, a 3” LCD display, an electronic viewfinder (201k dot), macro mode up to 0.39”, manual exposure controls for those who don’t trust auto mode, and WiFi capabilities, similar to Fujifilm’s earlier announced XP200 camera. This feature will allow users to transfer photos wirelessly to devices such as smartphones or tablets, and there will also be an accompanying app for iOS and Android devices.
Priced at $349.95, the Fujifilm FinePix S8400W will be available come May 2013.
