The other day Logitech announced a keyboard folio for the iPad and iPad mini, and unsurprisingly it looks like their competitor in the iOS accessory market, Belkin, is not taking this lying down and has announced their down keyboard case for the iPad. Dubbed the Ultimate Keyboard Case, this keyboard case pretty much acts in the same way as Logitech’s version, although in Belkin’s case it comes with a magnetic stand, allowing for three different viewing positions, and apparently Belkin’s case will help improve the iPad’s sound as well.
This is achieved with the SoundFlow design which helps redirect the sound coming from the back of the iPad, to the front where it will sound clearer to the user. Of course nothing beats a set of dedicated speakers but in a pinch we guess this will have to do. Made from an aluminum alloy, Belkin’s Ultimate Keyboard Case comes with an internal battery allowing for 160 hours of typing, but will unfortunately weigh just over a pound. Compatible with the iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4, it is up for pre-order at Belkin’s site for $100 and $130 for the silver model.
