If you’ve used services similar to Evernote and Pocket to read stories on another device later and own a Kindle, you’ll be happy to hear Amazon has built its own service which allows you to queue up stories to be read on your Kindle.
Amazon’s new “Send to Kindle” button has just been rolled out for online publications to embed into their websites, meaning you could read this exact news story from the comfort of a beach somewhere on your Kindle. In the past, the only way to gain this kind of functionality was to install a browser plug-in that would send articles or links to your Kindle device.
Now the process has been simplified as clicking the “send to” button on a website will transfer those stories to your Kindle device as well as your Kindle applications that you may have on your smartphone or tablet. Of course, the first time you use the Send to Kindle function, you’ll need to sign into your Amazon account and check which devices you’d like to have your stories sent to. Once you finish that initial setup, it’s to the beach with you to read all of your favorite Ubergizmo stories. We just hope you think of us toiling away at our computers while you’re living the good life.
