iOS 6.1.3 Could Break The Evasi0n Jailbreak
If you’ve been enjoying the Evasi0n jailbreak on your iOS 6 device so far, you might want to keep that in mind because come iOS 6.1.3, it seems that Apple has patched up at least one of the exploits that the Evad3rs jailbreak team used to provide an untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 6. This was revealed in a report by Forbes who interviewed a member of Evad3rs, David Wang, also known as Planetbeing. According to him, Apple is currently working on a new update for iOS 6 which will bump it to iOS 6.1.3. The update is currently in beta 2 and has been released a couple of days ago and it seems that one of the exploits has since been patched.
Apparently as long as one of the exploits used to jailbreak has been patched, the whole jailbreak will cease to stop working. While it is possible to swap out that vulnerability for another, David Wang is working under the assumption that once iOS 6.1.3 goes live, there is a good chanced that most of the bugs, if not all of them, will be fixed by then. Basically what this means for jailbreak users is that if you want to keep enjoying your jailbroken device, you might want to hold off on updating to iOS 6.1.3 until a new jailbreak solution has been found.
