EA Could Announce Exclusive Deal With Microsoft At Xbox Event
During Sony’s announcement of the PlayStation 4, they brought several developers on stage, such as Square Enix, Capcom, Ubisoft and Blizzard just to name a few. One publisher was oddly missing and that is EA. Considering the size of EA, one would have expected to see them at Sony’s event, right? Now it seems that according to CVG’s sources, one of the reasons why EA was a no-show at Sony’s event was because they might have signed an exclusive deal with Microsoft. EA’s explanation was that they were trying to maintain a “good balance of power” and that they will be releasing games for the PS4.
Unfortunately CVG’s sources were not able to ascertain as to whether EA’s exclusivity would be on a small scale or a large scale, ranging from maybe an exclusive DLC for some of their games, to maybe a full blown exclusivity with titles such as Battlefield 4 and Respawn Entertainment’s unannounced sci-fi shooter laid out on the table. Either way the rumors are saying that we could expect to see Microsoft launch their next-gen Xbox come April 2013, so we guess we will have to wait and find out. In the meantime what do you guys think of an Xbox-exclusive Battlefield title?
