Polaroid iM1836 Runs On Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

It was sometime near Christmas when we talked about the Polaroid iM1836 digital camera that will most likely be introduced at CES 2013, and here we are with more details (albeit a wee bit late) about this shooter. Basically, the Polaroid iM1836 is an 18-megapixel camera that was specially designed to adhere to the Micro Four Thirds format standards, making it compatible with the fast growing ecosystem of lenses that are readily available in the market.

Another point of note that should make the Polaroid iM1836 stand out from the rest of the shooters in the market – it is an Android-powered device, running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with a 3.5″ touchscreen display located at the back. Polaroid has slapped a $399 price tag on the Polaroid iM1836, where it will be released in the US sometime in the second quarter of the year, followed by an European release shortly after.
