[CES 2013] Just in case the Olympus SZ-15 wasn’t good enough to meet your photography demands, then perhaps it slightly higher-end sibling the STYLUS SZ-16 iHS might be of interest to you. The STYLUS SZ-16 iHS camera will sport a 16MP CMOS image sensor along with a slightly faster processor to match in the form of the TruePic VI Image Processor. It also features a CMOS sensor which is an upgrade over the CCD one featured on the SZ-15. The STYLUS SZ-16 iHS is also capable of a 24x optical zoom, but takes it one step further by offering 48x super res zoom, allowing photographers to get in even closer than before.
On the video front, the STYLUS SZ-16 iHS allows for the capture of Full HD 1080p quality videos, and one of the features that the STYLUS SZ-16 iHS boasts over the SZ-15 is the fact that it comes with Hand-Held Starlight and Backlight HDR scene options, allowing the photographer to capture HDR photos. Creating HDR images manually can be quite a hassle although it’s just a matter of manually capturing photos at different exposures and combining them with a photo editing software, but for those who might not know their way around their camera’s settings, this feature should make the whole process a lot easier.
Apart from that the STYLUS SZ-16 iHS iHS will also come with a host of “Magic Filters” to help make your photographs a little more interesting. The Olympus STYLUS SZ-16 iHS will be available in March in black or silver and will retail at $229.99.
