Mid-range Samsung Galaxy Express Announced

If you’re looking to pick up a low-mid ranged Samsung device, you might be interested to learn that Samsung has announced the Galaxy Express which is expected to make its way across both Europe and Asia, although since Samsung did announce a Galaxy Express for AT&T back in September of 2012, we expect it might be called something different if it were to make its way stateside. It should not be confused with AT&T’s offerings as the specs do differ along with the design, with this particular model being reminiscent of the Galaxy S3 Mini. So, what can customers look forward to?

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Express will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and a 4.5” WVGA Super AMOLED display. It will come with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, both LTE and NFC connectivity, a 2,000mAh battery on board and will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running the show. No word on when exactly will the phone be launched, but Q1 2013 is a rough time frame. Hopefully Samsung will have more to share at MWC 2013 which will be taking place towards the end of February, so check back with us then for the details.
