There were also a slew of contradicting reports which suggested that LG’s focus would be purely on Android and that they would be abandoning the Windows Phone platform, which was then later denied by LG themselves (although the lack of new LG Windows Phone handsets would suggest otherwise). In any case, LG has been making a name for themselves recently with the Optimus G, the world’s first Android smartphone with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, and by being the company responsible for the manufacturing of Google’s Nexus 4 handset. Either way with Windows Phone 8 being a huge improvement over the Windows Phone platform when it first launched, it might be possible that LG sees a future with it.
