LG Halting Nexus 4 Production To Make Way For More Nexus Devices [Rumor]

Here’s a rumor for all Android fans out there. As noted by the International Business Times, LG could release a Nexus 4 successor next month at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. When LG took the stage during this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, LG Electronics Senior Vice President James Fisher said that the Nexus 4 was just the first of many Nexus products that the company is working on. “Through our collaboration with Google, we launched the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. This is the first of many devices to come from our growing partnership with this very selective company,” Fisher said.

He added that the company is planning to launch a flurry of new handsets beginning next month. “At Mobile World Congress next month, and throughout the year, you’ll see us bring to market more tier-one premium handsets in various screen sizes,” Fisher added. If the rumor is true, then this could explain the abating number of Nexus 4 units being sold. Or, perhaps, the Nexus 4 is no longer a priority for LG right now, knowing that more Nexus devices are coming. Take this with a grain of salt though.
