Google Slides Get Offline Editing Features

Good news to all Google Drive users. If you’ve been dreaming of an offline feature for slides, then it looks like today is your lucky day. Google addressed the “slide lovers” to its blog today and announced that they can now create, edit, and comment using slides even if they don’t have any Internet connection. Users can even present their slides without requiring any Internet connection, just similar to the offline features that Google introduced to Docs. Google also added that offline spreadsheets are coming. Yay!

Students, teachers, leaders, or anyone a fan of making slides will find the offline feature nifty since it’s not everyday when the Internet connection is that good. Basically the offline feature means that users can alter or edit their presentations and have them automatically updated when they get back online. To enable the feature, just do a quick check if the offline editing feature for Docs is already enabled. If so, then you won’t have to do anything. If not, you can turn it on by following the instructions here. But do note that to enjoy the newly added offline editing features, you’ll need a Chrome browser or Chrome OS.
