GammaTech Intros Durabook TA10 Rugged Tablet
We’ve seen and loved GammaTech’s tough tablets and notebooks in the past. Today, it’s introducing a newest toughy called the Durabook TA10. GammaTech has engineered the rugged tablet to run the most demanding applications. It sports a 10.4-inch multi-touch panel with tempered glass and ultra-high brightness LCD, and it is powered by an Intel Ivy Bridge processor. The Durabook TA10 is also an outlier, thanks to its two six-cell battery packs, Military Standard 810G certification for drop and shock resistance, and IP65 certification for dust and water resistance.
That’s not all though, as it is also outfitted with security features that includes a TPM 1.2 data security technology, a Kensington Lock connector, and Intel anti-theft technology (AT) or Computrace asset management and data protection. Other pretty nifty features include a UHF RFID reader, a Barcode scanner, a fingerprint scanner, a Smart Card reader, and an internal GPS system. Expect this tough and rugged tablet to hit stores next month. Pricing is set at $2,300.
