In Q4 2012, AT&T sold over 10 million smartphones, which is a new record over the 9.4 million smartphones sold in 2011. In a single day, the worst carrier in the U.S. sold an average of 110,000 smartphones a day.
So where does AT&T go from here? Up, as the company is expecting to meet its goal of selling at least 25 million smartphones this year, thanks in part to strong consumer demand for the iPhone 5. When you consider we should be expecting another iPhone 5 some time this year, we’re sure AT&T will continue to sell a record amount of smartphones and may be able to meet its goal of 25 million smartphone sales in 2013.
