A website called Zatz Not Funny! spotted the feature recently when it bumped into a Kindle version of the book “Theories of International Politics and Zombies.” As you can see in the screenshot above, there’s a “Rent now with 1-Click” option that will cost the borrower $3.22. That sounds like a good deal considering that the retail price of the Kindle book is almost twice as its renting price.
The Kindle book retails for $8.61. Even more interesting, hitting the “Details” link will bring out a “Rent & Save” option where borrowers can opt to borrow the book for 30 days or 60 days. There’s even a 90-day option and a 120-day option. Of course, the price increases as the rental duration lengthens. Engadget also spotted a listing for a book called “The 5 Elements of Effective Thinking.”
