The first 1080p smartphone from Sony Mobile is known as the Sony Xperia Z, which was first spotted in tech circles as the Xperia Yuga, is said to be lined up for an official announcement in a fortnight’s time – at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is what we have gathered from ePrice, and after the Xperia Z’s official announcement at CES 2013, the smartphone should then roll out in China a week after that, where it will retail for approximately $690 after conversion.
From what we have gathered, the Xperia Z (Yuga) is powered by the Android Jelly Bean operating system, accompanied a 1920 x 1080 resolution 5” display, run on a quad-core 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, boasts of LTE and NFC connectivity, carries 2GB RAM, a 12-megapixel camera at the back with flash, and a microSD memory card slot. Not only that, it is also dust and water resistant, but not idiot proof. Image courtesy of ePrice.
