Samsung Exynos 5440 SoC Rumor Making Its Rounds
We do know that Samsung does churn out its fair share of processors, and whether they see action in Samsung’s own devices or in the devices of other manufacturers, that is really up to them. Word on the street has it that “Adonis”, long rumored to be the SoC (System On A Chip) that Samsung was said to be developing, will be making an appearance on what is most probably their latest flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S4. Adonis, if true, would be a quad-core 28nm ARM15 system-on-a-chip, which could also very well turn out to be the Exynos 5440 SoC.
No idea on whether it will finally make its way onto the Samsung Galaxy S4 or not, but we do know that this chip will be of the same DNA that the current dual-core Exynos 5250 is on, using the Cortex-A15 architecture. A leaked document also mentioned that a “patch adds support for EXYNOS5440 SoC which is including ARM Cortex-A15 Quad cores.” Well, what do you make of it?
