When it comes to the modern day Android-powered smartphone, it is not enough to feature 4G LTE connectivity, but it seems that the new benchmark would be its display – and we are talking about 5” of viewing real estate at the bare minimum, with a Full HD resolution being the calling card. Oppo of China has jumped aboard the elite bandwagon with its recent announcement of the Oppo Find 5, where it is touted to arrive Stateside for just $499 sans contract, which is a cool $100 off from the HTC Droid DNA.

As for our friends living across the pond, you will most probably see the Oppo Find 5 give your continent a miss, unless a new announcement is made sometime down the future. Perhaps Oppo does not think too highly of the European market to figure out that they can make a dent in that part of the world? Or are you not too bothered with this bit of news, as you figure out that there are far better smartphones out there other than the Find 5. Makes you wonder what happened to the Find 4, Find 3, et al.
