Linux requirements show up for some Steam games, launch imminent?
We know that Valve is working hard at developing Steam for Linux, and it looks like they might be close to launching it as according to reports, it seems that requirements for Linux-based computers have started to appear for some of Steam’s games, as you can see in the screenshot above for Serious Sam 3: BFE (via Techgage). For the moment it looks like Ubuntu machines are the most supported so far, but perhaps additional support will be added at a later date. Now if you’re curious as to what sort of specs we could be looking at, heading over to Steam might not reveal them as according to reports, the system requirements will only show up if you’re running a Linux computer. Either way hopefully more will be revealed soon, so check back with us at a later date for updates when we have more to share with you guys.
