Kupa X15 Windows 8 tablets now available for purchase
We expect that down the road there will be a lot more Windows 8 tablets made available as more manufacturers get on board, but if you’d rather not wait, Kupa might have a Windows 8 tablet for you that could be worth your consideration. Dubbed the X15, Kupa will have four different versions of the tablet for you depending on your price range. It starts at $1,100 for the X15 Elite, and goes up to $1,600 for the X15 Ultra. As far as specs go, all four models will share some basic specs such as 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 10.1” IPS 1920×1080 Full HD touchscreen display, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera and Bluetooth 4.0.
What differentiates the models would be its storage space which ranges from a 64GB SSD up to 128GB SSD, and the choice of going with an Intel i5 processor or an Intel i7 processor. It should be worth noting that the more expensive models, the X15 Lux and X15 Ultra will come with HSPA+ connectivity. When Kupa first unveiled the UltraNote back at MobileCon 2012, the device came with more features such as LTE connectivity and NFC, but we guess Kupa decided to drop those features in favor of HSPA+, presumably as a cost-cutting measure.
