It wasn’t so long ago when Google introduced its Street View technology indoors. The result was Google Business Photos which basically shows you the interiors of a few stores in Google Maps. Today, Google is taking that milestone a bit further by bringing these images to the search results page. Yes, you can now view indoor photos of stores right from the search results by clicking the newly-added ‘See Inside’ button, as you can see above. Hitting the said button will take you into the indoor imagery on Google Maps. This is good news, especially for first time visitors.
As a side note, Google’s indoor imagery are currently available only to businesses that are working with its “trusted photographers” in U.S., Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Canada, and the UK. Google made the announcement today via Google+ saying, “Ever wonder what the inside of a business looked like before visiting? Google Search just made it easier to find Google Business Photos – which allows you to virtually walk-through a business with Google Street View-Technology. Just click the “See Inside” image on Search to enter the business and walk around as if you were there.”
